How TuxNest works
Write code anywhere. Run inference where you choose.
The key idea is a split between the development interface and the machine that performs AI model inference.
Your GPU. Your AI. Your Control. Anywhere. · Created by Paladugu Ganesh Naidu
Architectural flow
One developer interface. One chosen inference destination.
This is a conceptual diagram of a supported SSH-model configuration, not a claim of automatic remote-host provisioning. Inference occurs on the selected model host; ordinary workspace actions remain subject to the local extension’s permissions.
The interface machine
A developer opens a workspace in VS Code. TuxNest gathers the selected project context for the task, presents model results and handles local tool approvals. Your source code and ordinary terminal actions are still managed on the development machine.
The network connection
For remote Ollama, you connect to a compatible workstation using an authenticated SSH tunnel. A private network or VPN such as Tailscale can help the device be reachable, but it does not replace verified SSH host identity or permissions.
The model host
An installed Ollama runtime serves compatible AI models on the remote machine. Requests and included context travel over the chosen connection; model generation happens on the remote compute resources. The host must have sufficient RAM/VRAM for the model.
From plan to verified edit
The coding workflow is inspect → plan → propose → review → execute permitted actions → verify. Actual command results, file contents and test outcomes are evidence; generated claims of success are not a substitute.
What SSH does not do
SSH inference does not automatically execute terminal commands on the GPU host, install a model runtime or make every GPU run at peak speed. Host provisioning, credentials, capacity, security and network quality remain operational requirements.

Our tagline is “Tuxnest is India's first plug-and-play hybrid AI agent ecosystem”. Self-hosted inference requires appropriate host security, model capacity, power and networking; it does not establish automatic legal compliance.
