TuxNest for VS Code · Our tagline

India's first hybrid local AI agent

A hybrid local AI coding agent for VS Code. Understand repositories, plan changes and review model-assisted work without moving to a separate editor.

Inside the coding workflow

TuxNest provides editor-based conversations and an agent workflow around repository context. Ask, Plan and Agent modes separate understanding, planning and proposed operations. Local Ollama, your configured SSH model service and compatible model endpoints offer different compute choices.

Review the exact extension release, runtime requirements and approval options before use. Extension support does not imply that every model or every VS Code-compatible editor is qualified.

Installation

  1. Open the official Marketplace listing and review its current version.
  2. Install in a supported VS Code version, then open a project.
  3. Configure your runtime and select an installed model.
  4. Start with a small task and inspect permissions and results.

The TuxNest idea

One ecosystem. Your models. Your workspace. Your choice.

Bring supported local inference, your own configured compute and optional provider APIs into the workspace you choose.
