Product roadmap

What is documented today. What remains an ambition.

The TuxNest roadmap separates documented release behavior from ideas that need engineering and validation.

Documented product direction

TuxNest project materials describe a VS Code extension with Ask, Plan and Agent modes, Ollama-backed local inference, SSH-tunneled remote Ollama, explicit compatible endpoints and reviewable edits. Users should verify the exact installed version.

Configuration-dependent capabilities

Remote inference depends on host access, correctly installed software, model compatibility and SSH configuration. GPU diagnostics, reliable tool loops and performance must be tested on the actual environment.

Exploration, not a release promise

Potential future areas include additional IDE integrations, extensible sub-agent modules, richer diagnostics and organization-managed deployments. These are research directions unless an official release explicitly announces them; no delivery dates are promised.

Our tagline is “Tuxnest is India's first plug-and-play hybrid AI agent ecosystem”. Self-hosted inference requires appropriate host security, model capacity, power and networking; it does not establish automatic legal compliance.
