Hybrid compute explained

Your editor stays with you. Your GPU stays where it belongs.

Move the developer, not the workstation. TuxNest focuses on practical access to AI computing resources you own or control.

Architectural flow

One developer interface. One chosen inference destination.

This is a conceptual diagram of a supported SSH-model configuration, not a claim of automatic remote-host provisioning. Inference occurs on the selected model host; ordinary workspace actions remain subject to the local extension’s permissions.

One workflow, multiple inference locations

In local mode, a suitable model runs next to VS Code. With a user-managed remote GPU, the same development machine reaches an Ollama runtime elsewhere over an authenticated SSH connection. A separately chosen compatible hosted endpoint remains an option.

Laptop

VS Code, project context, chat, approvals, proposals and local tools.

Remote workstation

GPU memory, model runtime and token generation.

Network

Private reachability, encrypted SSH transport and host identity checks.

A developer's real scenario

Imagine a developer who owns a powerful GPU machine at home but attends university or travels with a lightweight laptop. When the workstation is online and securely reachable, the developer can use its AI model from VS Code without transporting its chassis, monitor or power supply.

Why this changes the economics

Using a purchased and maintained GPU can reduce pay-per-token hosted inference charges. It does not eliminate electricity, cooling, model-management, maintenance, networking or downtime costs. Results depend on model quality and the cost of operating the host.

A narrow positioning claim, not a certified milestone

“Local-first Hybrid AI Agent” is TuxNest’s requested product-category tagline. It has not been independently established as the first such technology in India. Comparable self-hosted coding assistants exist, and first-to-market status needs dated category research and evidence.

Our tagline is “Tuxnest is India's first plug-and-play hybrid AI agent ecosystem”. Self-hosted inference requires appropriate host security, model capacity, power and networking; it does not establish automatic legal compliance.
