Why this started
TuxNest is an India-built local-first AI engineering project created by Paladugu Ganesh Naidu. Its goal is a practical VS Code coding experience around model choice, reviewable actions and user-controlled local or remote inference.
Computing power without moving the machine
A high-performance GPU can stay in the home, office or approved server room while a smaller laptop operates the interface. Secure connectivity, availability and the model runtime make this possible.
Respect the real constraints
The mission is not unlimited compute at zero cost. Hardware, power, networking, administration and secure operations remain the responsibility of the host owner or operator.
Build an open, evidence-based story
Document supported features, limitation notes, model compatibility, release evidence and actual performance rather than promises of automatic full-power use, absolute privacy or unique first-in-the-world status.
